Mission
Statement
LACG (Livermore Airport Citizens
Group) is a group of citizens dedicated to the preservation/improvement of our
health, safety, property values and quality of life as affected by the
Livermore Municipal Airport and the aviation activity associated with the
airport.
Our goals to meet this end are:
- To work cooperatively with city
officials, airport personnel,
aircraft owners and pilots to establish and
maintain an appropriate balance between the desires of the aviation community
and the health, safety, property values and quality of life of Tri-Valley
residents.
- To ensure that airport growth is
managed so that the airport remains a community friendly airport
with a recreational aviation focus that is in support of and is subordinate to
the overall health, safety, property values and quality of life of the
Tri-Valley community.
- To inform the airport and aviation
community about the negative affects they impose on our health, safety,
property values and quality of life and encourage them to want to be good
neighbors by modifying their flight behaviors and utilizing technology and
innovation to continuously reduce these negative affects.
- To see that standards/procedures
are established to mitigate the negative affects of the airport and that
measurement and control systems are implemented ensuring that community health,
safety, property values and quality of life are consistently respected.
- To obtain a commitment and support
from local elected and appointed officials responsible for airport decisions
and operations to establish and maintain complete local control of airport
decisions and operations -- ensuring the preservation of the other goals.
